Getac announces new partnership with pioneering industrial wearables manufacturer, ProGlove
ProGlove’s full range of smart glove scanners, access points and consumables now available directly from Getac throughout the EMEA region
Telford, UK, 12 Feburary 2019: Getac today announced a new strategic partnership with ProGlove, a pioneering German technology company specialising in the design and manufacture of smart, wearable industrial technology. The new partnership means all of ProGlove’s products, including its flagship smart gloves with integrated wireless barcode scanner, are now available directly from Getac throughout EMEA.
Based in Munich, ProGlove develops smart solutions that enable employees in sectors featuring high volumes of scanning, such as manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, to work faster, smarter and more efficiently. By using these smart gloves instead of a traditional handheld barcode scanner, personnel can work and scan at the same time, saving precious seconds on every scan. This leads to significant increases in productivity over the course of a full shift.
ProGlove’s products integrate seamlessly with Getac’s range of powerful rugged tablets and notebooks, offering unrivalled business performance when used together as part of a comprehensive mobile productivity solution. Through this partnership, Getac customers will now have access to the full range of ProGlove and Getac solutions from a single source, saving time and money on procurement.
"ProGlove’s smart, wearable technology perfectly complements our own range of rugged mobile solutions, making this new partnership a natural fit,” says Amanda Ward, director of EMEA products and solutions, Getac. “As the internet of things continues to drive digital transformation across a wide range of industries, partnerships like this are a win-win for both our technology partners and customers.”
"In today‘s businesses, every second counts when it comes to delivering the highest levels of service,” says Derk Steemers, marketing manager EU, ProGlove. “This partnership with Getac will allow us to put our innovative smart products and solutions into the hands of many more customers, helping them optimise productivity and drive operational efficiency in the digital age.”
